Wilbrahams’ Environment Group
Wilbrahams’ Environment Group (WEG) is a local interest group looking at ways of integrating low carbon living and increased biodiversity in our community.
Our objective is to promote maintain and improve the natural environment of and biodiversity within the Wilbrahams and Six Mile Bottom; and to encourage knowledge of Climate Change and to promote ways of low carbon living here. WEG has a database of almost 100 members/supporters – membership is free.

Examples of WEG activities:
Free Open Evenings for Presentations on relevant topics – such as solar panels & Heat Pumps
Free Open Evenings to show films about environmental issues – like local water scarcity
Tree Planting
Nest boxes for Swifts
Litter Picks
Thermal Camera Heat Loss Surveys
Regular meetings with local farmers
Local Work Parties
Working with the Wildlife Trusts.
WEG communicates with villagers by the display of posters, regular articles in the Warbler magazine, periodic Newsletters to members/supporters, posts on its own and the villages’ Facebook sites and on the villages’ websites.
