The Wilbrahams’ Social Club

 2025

The Social Club was established in 1973 in the old memorial hall and was a very busy community space for many years. Opening every day including Sunday lunchtimes when a gathering of mainly men in the village put the world to rights over a pint or two. Times have really changed!

Ten years ago, with the second rebuilding of the hall, the club was relocated into the old tractor shed and a new look club was established. It is a pleasant and comfortable place to relax with family and friends and a drink or two.

The club opens for members’, sport, clubs and events in the hall and on the recreation ground. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are well attended by table tennis, bridge club and choir members. Saturday afternoons for cricket and football players and their supporters.

The monthly Saturday Coffee Mornings are very popular, a get together for a chat with friends, good coffee and delicious cakes, plus a raffle. On Market days it is open for coffee, tea and soft drinks or even a beer if needed!

Current opening times:

Wednesdays 7:00pm
Thursdays 7: 30pm
Saturdays:
If Football is at home from 2pm,
If Cricket is at home from 1pm.

The Social Club is a tenant of the Wilbrahams’ Memorial Hall and is a private members club. It has its own committee to manage its affairs. The annual membership is £5 and the renewal date is April 1st. Junior members can join at 14. Membership forms are available from the bar.

We would welcome new bar staff and new committee members to bring ideas, enthusiasm and help us with the routine management of the club.
